Chime is about finding the perfect combination of a dedicated grape grower, an appropriate cultivar and an artisan winemaker to deliver consumers the best possible wine nature will allow. Sometimes our relentless focus on Place, Grapes and People means that we don’t make the best short term business decisions. We might bottle up a Dry Creek Cabernet as Sonoma Valley, for instance, or a Lodi Cabernet as California. We can live with this reality if it means that we are fulfilling our broader mission of delivering the best possible wine nature will allow.
The discovery of four bear footprints in a magnificent vineyard in Bierzo inspired the name of this wine. 100% Mencía elaborated from grapes chosen from 80-year-old vines from the slated lands located in the high areas of the Bierzo region.
Cuatro Pasos has grown to become one of Spain’s best known wine brands since the Martin Codax group bought the property in 2004.
Mencia is a grape variety native of Spain and rarely found outside of El Bierzo in Northwestern Spain. Mencia is sometimes compared to Cabernet Franc even though they are not genetically related. Bierzo’s soil includes a mixture of fine elements, quartz and slate. The vineyards are planted mainly on humid, dark soil that is slightly acidic and low in carbonates. Continental microclimate, with influences from Galicia and the plateau of Castilla y Léon.

DFJ Vinhos – Paxis
DFJ VINHOS born in 1998 to export to the UK where two of the DFJ partners (Dino and Fausto) have for more than two decades the most successful company importing Portuguese wines D&F.
Dino Ventura was one the most innovative sales and marketing person the UK wine sector ever saw. He look to all the details of the society to find ideas to apply and develop the Portuguese wine consumption.
One day he found one of its children playing in school a very traditional and physical UK game called Bulldog. During the game he heard children saying PAXIS as a way to express immunity from being caught.
PAXIS was so and in a sense a stage of ideal escape from the stress of the world where we could appreciate a great wine getting all the pleasure to our senses.
Because of that the PAXIS wines are always carefully selected to offer the best ratio price/ quality/ pleasure. Enjoy it!

Brothers Tom and Rob Franscioni learned the arts of farming vineyards and making wine from their late father, Dan Franscioni, who tragically passed in an airplane accident in 2011. Since then the two brothers have entrenched themselves in the wine world with the same passion that not only fueled their father, but also his fathers before him.
With vineyard holdings spanning from the northernmost area of the Monterey appellation all the way to the southernmost, the brothers are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of the most coveted wine varieties. Specializing in the Burgundian wines Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they pride themselves on producing wines of the utmost quality; believing that great wines are primarily made in the vineyard. Fruit is sourced from the highest quality blocks from any of their five family owned estate vineyards, all of which are farmed sustainably under the California Sustainable Wine-growing Alliance.
Being not only brothers, but also best friends and joint proprietors, Tom and Rob know the importance of family. To them, Divum is just that.
